Cardi B got her son’s name tattooed on her face
The rapper Cardi B has unveiled a new tattoo: her son's name… on her face.
Cardi B has unveiled the face tattoo she had done in August. Back in January, the rapper floated the idea of getting her son's name, Wave, permanently tattooed on her face. "I'm one percent away from getting my son's name tattooed on my face….. I really want to do it," she tweeted at the time, adding that she wanted to get a tattoo on her jaw. However, from the tattoo in August, it was unclear whether she had changed her mind about what the tattoo on her chin would actually be.
At the time, a TikTok video went viral. It showed Cardi B getting the letter "N" tattooed in red ink on her jaw. The final result, which was shared on a fan's Instagram page, was even less clear. However, in September, Cardi B confirmed that she had gotten her son's name tattooed on her face during an Instagram live stream: "I tattooed my son's name because I love him," she said, showing the "Kulture" tattoo on her bicep, named after her daughter.
On November 17, Cardi B finally posted a clear photo of the fully healed reddish-brown Wave tattoo on her jaw, along with her ultra-long lavender manicure.
Cardi B had four-year-old Kulture and 14-month-old Wave with her husband Offset. The Migos rapper has three other children from previous relationships.

After welcoming their second child in September 2021, the couple waited seven months before sharing her name with fans. "We've been through a lot of sad things regarding Kulture - terrible behaviour that even older children have never experienced. So many people post nasty, disgusting things just to get a reaction from us," Cardi B told Essence. We want to protect our privacy because we are very, very angry and upset."
In the interview, Cardi B had also revealed that she hadn't met her husband's other children until she and Offset were already married in 2017, but it's extremely important to both of them that nobody feels left out. "I always wanted them to love me, and they do. They tell me that. I feel it, and I hope we always have a great relationship."
Offset added: "It's a blessing to be able to have them all together and to have a woman who is open and treats them as if they were her children. That could be a problem, but I don't have to go through that, and it's wonderful."
